I'm feeling nervous about my wisdom teeth removal

My consultation was yesterday. The oral surgeon has great reviews, his business has 5 stars. But I've been worried about getting my wisdom teeth removed for years and didn't end up feeling better after our appointment. First they had me watch this terrifying video about all the things that can go wrong during the procedure. Then he said that I'm gonna want to be sedated because the removal will be complicated, I think because my roots are so deep. The teeth are very close to nerves and there is a possibility I'll have nerve damage which is a whole new thing I hadn't even been concerned about yet. They took a closer X-ray of the area around the nerves and he said they might leave in the roots. The procedure is in a few weeks and if anyone has something reassuring to say that would be great...
