I'm considering a new electric toothbrush. The Oral-B 1500 seems like the most powerful from the information I have read online. However, Oral-B customer support actually told me the battery powered models have more oscillations/rotations per minute.
Battery-Powered (oscillations/rotations per minute)
- Oral-B 3D White: 14,400
- Oral-B Pro-Health: 14,400
- Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical: 9,000
Rechargeable (oscillations/rotation per minute; pulsations per minute)
- Oral-B 1000: 8,800 rotations; 20,000 pulsations
- Oral-B 1500: 9,900 rotations; 45,000 pulsations (Sensitive Mode: 7,400; 33,000 pulsations)
I have read mixed reports about whether the pulsation "3D Cleaning" actually helps at all. Could the Oral-B 3D White and Oral-B Pro-Health actually be the superior brushes with their higher rotations per minute?
Keep in mind I don't care about other features (Bluetooth, timers, rechargeable batteries that aren't user-replaceable, etc) beyond basic cleaning ability. In fact, I actively dislike almost all of these "features".
However, I want to make the best choice for my teeth. So do pulsations really make a difference or it is it mostly a marketing gimmick? Would the Oral-B 1500 be hands-down the vastly superior choice? Would the Oral-B 3D White or Oral-B Pro-Health be as good if not better?
Please let me soon, since this might affect my Christmas shopping. Thank you very much!
