Is there a way to reduce the time needed to wait before brushing teeth after an acid attack?

I've heard your enamel becomes softer after drinking something acidic... And if you brush your teeth right away (before an hour) this could corrode your teeth faster.

Is there a way to increase the rate your enamel turns to its original hardness by neutralizing the acid by lets say drinking a glass of milk? And if so, how long will this process take?
