Root canal 18 months old - now in two peices

Hi all,

UK Redditor here;

Currently all dentists are closed now unless your mouth is filled with blood and can't handle the pain anymore.

I had a root canal completed around 18 months ago, this morning, whilst eating my cereal I felt a hard bit in my mouth, and immediately thought "oh shit".

Yep, half of my tooth had come off - right down the middle (I can see the packing material inside the root canal).

Since this has happened, I feel no pain, there is no blood and no discomfort (apart from feeling like something is missing).

I imagine it is going to be a month until the dentists reopen - however, what are the chances it will start to get painful/infected if at all?
