Day after tooth extraction. Getting some anxiety about dry socket and dental care in general, I also have a few questions.

TLDR for anybody who doesn't need my life story: Got a tooth extract on my bottom molar, socket looks sort of weird/suspicious, am anxious about all that.

Rant is incoming, just skip the end for most of the info/questions. I went to the dentist for the first time in literally 7-8 years, took not so great care of my teeth during some teen years (like 16 to a few weeks ago, which is 21). I was actually doing well on quitting fizzy/energy drinks but still a massive pain in my right side bottom molar appeared about a week and a half ago. I had a lot of anxiety with going to the dentist so I've always procrastinated it. In typical fashion, this pain became alarming on the night of a thursday, the weekend of which was set to be a bank holiday weekend, so the earliest I could get an appointment for was the next tuesday. Once I got there, he very quickly identified it as an infected root canal, and that I would either have to have it removed or see a really expensive specialist. He left me off to make my choice and call him with whatever I chose, I did later that evening to tell him I'll have it removed because I didn't have a handy €2k to save my tooth. Got it removed, removal is really not painful at all, when he was seeing me he told me I'd need some fillings. He put cotton things in my mouth and gave me some in a pouch to use until it stopped bleeding. He told me some stuff to avoid such as straws, rinsing my mouth. He then kind of casually told me about dry socket, told me it just happens sometimes and just be careful about disrupting the clot that was about to form, not to worry too much about it. Bad advice for me, but that's not his fault. Not wanting to ask him the plethora of other questions my anxious ass had because he was only operating on emergencies during this whole corona virus thing and didn't want to be hanging around asking annoying questions. Then I did the absolute worst thing you can do for anything medically related, google it, and I have done this, very often for the last day and a half. At this point idk what to go off. I've been eating soft porridge and today I ate some scrambled eggs, my family bought pizza and was really tempting me with some leftovers but I held out mostly, I took a small bite or two with the opposite side of my mouth.

ONTO THE ACTUAL TOPIC. My socket looks really white/not solid. It's pretty shallow but I'm terrified about the weird coloration. I'm concerned that I've began to disrupt the clot and that's it's slowly breaking down or something, it's not one consistent colour, and looks like 5 or 6 white chunks with some red and/or black dots somewhere in there. I'd take a picture but it's really hard to get a good look in there, never mind a picture. Would a dry socket be more obvious at this point? It's really not that painful at all. Also, can I drink tea? When can I start eating normally (on the opposite side of my mouth) again? Does anybody have some less boring food recommendations?
