Hi there! One week ago I got a root canal with temporary filling. Now I have a slightly metallic taste in my mouth. I don't think the filling has fallen out or anything, but this morning a tiny grain of it did come off. Literally like a grain of sand. Problem is, I'm in an extremely remote location for the next few days and my next appointment is only on Monday (4 days from now).
What should I do to protect my tooth during this time? I'm trying not to chew on it at all. The metallic taste is my only symptom and the dentist did make the filling quite low so that the tooth almost feels hollow and to prevent any chewing forces on it.
