A few days ago one of my top molars (second from last not counting the not yet erupted wisdom tooth) started hurting out of the blue and the pain started getting worse quickly. So far I can manage it with ibuprofen but it's getting worse. This tooth had root canal treatment about 3 and a half years ago and while there was always a little bit of pain if I put to much pressure on that tooth, nothing like this has happened before. I'm guessing that the tooth will have to be pulled because of this.
This morning, I woke up with my face being a little swollen, right above the aforementioned tooth. It's not obvious yet but it's definitely there. The soonest I managed to get a doctors appointment is 4 days away but that was before the pain got bad and my face started swelling, should I try to reschedule for sooner? Does this count as an emergency?
Thanks in advance.
