I'm not sure if I should bother trying to make a dentist appt since I already made one to an office nearby as my usual place was a dental college and that's closed down.
I've had a lot of work done 2 years ago after having very poor dental hygiene growing up but never really had hypersensitivity or any pain when chewing. But yeah, currently, I was fine until about 2 weeks ago when I got a sudden sensitivity pain when I was eating an orange and then drinking or eating anything cold and the cold air made it hurt, too.
One thing I do is chew on soft ice from, I know I know, it's not a good habit and I already realize that might have something to do with it and am beating myself up over it. ;( I just find it so weird that out of nowhere, no pain up til this point and bam, tooth hurts like a mother- but maybe i could chalk that up to teeth being weird sometimes? Anyway, i started using an anti-hypersensitivity toothpaste and so far, I can feel a bit of a difference but now, chewing food or bumping the tooth with my electric toothbrush, I can feel a weird tender spot and now i can suck on my tooth and feel an awkward pain, not a lot, but it makes me think maybe it's a crack? I did have cavities filled 2 years ago but can't remember if this tooth was one of them, though. The dentist i went to recently didn't do anything, said he didn't see anything on the xray but he was also doing his best talking in circles and trying to get me out of the chair and out the door so...
