So long story short I have some pretty garbage teeth. Blame not really learning the importance of dental care until my late teens. Age 19 now, and have been advised by multiple dentists to just switch to a full upper/lower denture because of how bad my mouth is.
In the rest of my mouth, I'm missing most back teeth. The broken tooth which is now causing pain (link) is the only tooth i have left that aligns properly with an upper tooth so I can chew. Any pressure at all, even closing my mouth, ups the pain from a 4 to a 6 or 7. Eating hits an easy 8. As of now, I can't even chew bread. Going to the dentist isn't financially an option for me, I'm already in deep debt and lost my job in Feb and unfortunately don't even qualify for unemployment. I'm just looking for some pain management advice. It's not a 10, I can deal with it, I have before. I'm hoping the pain will go away in a few days, but in the mean time.
Ibuprofen doesn't really help, neither does salt water, Kanka, cold or hot water held in place, etc. I already use Sensodyne as my toothpaste. If you have any advice on what to do to hopefully help me bide my time, it'd be greatly appreciated.
