Kind of a wierd thing to ask, at least from what I’ve heard from most dentists so far.
So a couple of months ago I began wearing a boil and fit night guard, I tried two of them. The first one I wore for one night, and it covered my molars only. Threw that away and a couple days later my teeth began to not touch when I bit down.
I decided to buy a fully fit night guard, which I don’t THINK covered my wisdom teeth, but I wore it anyway for about a month. Progressively my bite changed more, and now I’m pretty sure it’s stopped. I got scared of it so now I don’t wear the guard anymore but now I’m not sure if my bite will go back to the way it was.
Right now I have about a 2 mm gap between my front teeth, which used to touch, and my other teeth/molars get closer as you move back towards the wisdom teeth, which touch.
Does anyone have any idea what happened. I’ve heard a lot of people use the term “eruption” but I’m not sure what happened. I can’t see a dentist right now because of COVID. Is there anything I can do to help? I am in no pain, it’s just quite an annoyance not being able to touch most of my teeth. Thanks!
