Can high filling affect adjacent teeth over time?

Hello,

I have a high spot on top left canine I believe. Has been this way for a number of years, but when I'm numb apparently I shut my jaw differently and it doesn't get marked with the bite paper. I've asked them to try when not numb, they never have. It used to only hurt when something hard like a large piece of salt or something was between during a bite. Now it's sore with empty pressure.

The real question though, is can this long term high spot/increased pressure affect adjacent teeth? My top left lateral incisor does not have a cavity, decay, or gum disease around it, but is able to be slightly wiggled if I try (it isn't incredibly loose, but my other teeth do not give at all). It has no pain. It's got me concerned, but given the situation next to it, I'm hopeful it is just due to the other tooth.

Thank you for your input, and don't worry, I'll be calling everyone again tomorrow to try finding someplace to see me this week.
