Tooth extraction questions

1. I'm recovering from a cold and have been coughing so hard that I am throwing up. Will this affect the healing process too much?

2. An I allowed to don't any kind of soda? Drinking something bubbly would make my stomach feel better.

3. Any tips on avoiding dry socket?
