It's real damn frustrating being 20 and having the teeth of someone in their 50s-60s

I wish I could eat and drink all the absolute garbage that everyone else my age can. If I drink any soda or anything sugary, I instantly get stressed and begin to rinse out my mouth over and over to try and save some enamel.

It sucks because I feel like I'm in a race against time- like my teeth will probably not last forever. I am not looking forward to the stupid amount of money I will have to spend to get my teeth fixed one day. Like this is a daily concern of mine and I hate it.

On top of this, I feel like it all could have been avoided. My dentists had been saying for years that I horribly grind my teeth and my parents never really took it seriously. These days I take going to the dentist pretty seriously and have a nightguard, but it still sucks that none of this happened sooner.
